Double Blue Ribbon

I have been technician for a university’s information technology department for two years. Actually, what’s more interesting is that, this is the same university from where I’ve graduated. We’ve developed a new type of enrolling system so that students need not to exert more effort of lining up to the registrant just to enter school. This way, many students can access their enrollment through the internet. Usually, our databases are flooded with many inquiries because of our school’s gaining reputation. We’ve actually been busy because we’re having foreign registrants this year. Our trusted servers and our HP Storage keep our data updated, safe and secure.

When one of the storages became too full enough even to add one more registrant, we suggested buying new equipment. Our team head recommended that we buy from refurbished computer gadget resellers because of their lower price. We have used equipments like these before, and never failed us so far. We got our new HP SAN storage from a reseller store and we were satisfied with the results. This year had gotten us a lot of enrollees, but our server and storages could handle information even double their size because they are maintained properly in storages that are of reliable quality.

Our office prefers to use IBM xSeries Servers because of the reliability and the brand name could be counted on. We have been loyal users of IBM servers and computer equipments for many years already. So even with the recent upsets in the economy, we still try to purchase them whenever the budget permits.

Since buying brand new servers cost so much we have turned to buying used xSeries for our equipment requirements.  They have been the most compatible and most reliable of the lot that we have tried.  We are able to get the reliability that we require at less than the regular price. We usually get it from this reliable online site that serves our much needed equipment. 
We just go online to check if they have the equipment that we need then proceed to order it from them. The equipment is delivered to us usually less than a week after we purchased it. The products that we have bought from them are always in good condition.   We are very happy with their service.   That great service is the reason that will keep ordering from them.  We are truly one very satisfied customer.

I needed to have my computer repaired fast for I had to finish my thesis for that week. My computer got busted, and according to my brother who was an IT, I needed to buy new parts for my computer. I was provided with all the details I needed to know.  I can trade-in our used IBM servers as well which is so perfectly timed for the new IBM xSeries Servers to arrive. I brought the idea to the school board during monthly meeting and was given the high five by the President himself. 

I was able to save space in the computer and the latest equipment and was even profitable too.

Rather than spend ten grand on new poweredge servers, I have opted to go with some used ones. I found a company online that refurbishes them and resells them with a guarantee. As soon as I read the word guarantee, they had me. I had been stressing about how I was going to pay for the new servers since I had not budgeted for that much when I made my business plan.

I had talked to a dell repair man that told me about this website company after I asked him if he knew where I could get some cheaper poweredge servers and he said that the new ones were pretty much all priced the same. I decided to check out the lead of the used ones and was pleasantly surprised with the prices, the quality and the selection of the servers that this company offered.

I was able to get both of the servers that I would need to make my office run more efficiently when I opened it. The dell repair man has already been hired to come by once a month to check over the computer equipment unless we call him sooner. I am hoping that we do not have to call him very often other than the monthly maintenance schedule.

I may have to look into putting in a whole new system for checking people out. I knew that when people started using their debit cards more, my old cash register would just not do. I was even still one of the only places in town that accepted checks but I was going to change that too.

I checked out how much everything I would need on the used pos equipment site and decided to place the order before I changed my mind. I knew that I had enough money to buy everything, but it was a lot more than I had ever spent on anything at one time for the store since I first opened.

I needed to get the new system and get it up and running before the holiday season so that all my staff could be trained and used to it prior to then. I made fifty percent of my yearly sales from October to December and I did not need for the new system from the used pos equipment site to slow that down by coming in too late.

The cost of the used servers was so much lower than the new servers that I was able to pay someone to install them for me. I could not believe that we were actually going to have servers that did not go offline every other day. Going to work would be much more pleasant than before. We would all come in and just try and get work done before the breakdown that we knew would be coming.

I ordered the used servers from an online company that my secretary discovered. She was sick of hearing everyone complain and she also knew how much money we were losing every time the servers would go down. The used poweredge servers that I bought from the site were shipped overnight and by the following week, my computer team had changed out the old bad servers and the used poweredge servers were up and running.

It has been two years since the installation of the used poweredge servers and we have only gone offline once since then and I think that it mainly had to do with the thunderstorm that had moved through the area the night before. It only took a few minutes and we were back up again.

My first job was at a computer repair shop in town and I was in charge of keeping all the parts and products in order in the back. I remember one time when a customer came in and bought three used proliant servers, we did not have any left to put out, in fact I had to run to the back to get the additional two that he wanted.
