A Goodbye
I felt sad when Adrian had to leave. Sure, we broke up a year ago, but we’re still friends. It’s not that I want to keep him. It’s just that we’ve gotten into a deeper relationship that rises above friendship than that high school first love thing. When the news reached to me that he’ll relocating somewhere else, I felt that I must see him and before he says goodbye. When I got to his place, I saw the packing supplies and the men about to haul up his things. When he saw me, all he did was to hold my hand and say, “Thank you for everything.” I’d never forget that night. There was this look on his face that I’d always miss.
Adrian had his place relocated, with the help of a trusted local moving company. Although it’s quite a goodbye for our relationship, I’d sure wish to hear a lot from him. I do know that when he becomes the musician he wanted to—after finishing his degree, I’d be there rooting for him as his number one fan. I was glad to see him before he moved. I guess there’ll be things we’d want to say to each other but, well, our own lives are starting anew, and all we can wish for each other, is to take care, and good luck.
