Every time that I log onto my computer, I check out the world current events first. I have found that it is very important to know what is going on all around you. I am sure that there are lots of people that have no idea what is going on during the day and then try and play catch up when they watch the nightly television news.
I do not think that those people realize that a lot of what they are seeing has already been old news, by the time that they are actually seeing it. The amount of ways that we can get instant updates these days is unbelievable. If you have a web capable cell phone, there is no reason to stay out of touch with world current events. If you have to log into the internet every time you want to know what is going on, then you might have to wait to do that.
Also, you can have certain sites send you updates, right to your email address if you want to. Then you would have a running timeline of the events and when they took place. I have actually opted to have updates sent right to my email and I can check them on my phone or on my computer.
